Senior DevOps Engineer

FULLY REMOTE in Australia

Cadent Sourcing is partnering with a global leader in Asset Management for Building and Facilities operations.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with experience in Agile working environments.

This role will build and optimise the interfaces, that help run buildings efficiently, economically and in an environmentally friendly way.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or practical equivalent experience
• 10+ years experience in a similar role delivering validated IT solutions.
• Extensive experience with daily usage of Ubuntu Linux and GNU utilities to troubleshoot web applications, infrastructure, and networks
• Extensive experience creating full “hands-off” automation solutions in common programming languages: Bash, NodeJS, Ruby, Python, etc.
• Extensive experience with the core services of Amazon Web Services and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: identity, networking, compute, block storage, object storage, content delivery networks, DNS
• Experience with containerization, clustering, and the various common ecosystem tools: runtimes (docker, podman, containerd), docker-compose, AWS ECS, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with configuration management: A common tool is acceptable SaltStack, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc. (SaltStack preferred)
• Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools CloudFormation and/or Terraform to create full stack deployments of infrastructure (Terraform preferred)
• Experience with implementation of CI/CD, particularly Jenkins, and the various tools required for building these processes (e.g., git)
• Operational experience of relational and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside engineering team members and stake holders to design, implement, and deploy infrastructure projects to support Invicara products.
• Support cross-functional teams (developers, QA, product, customer service) to troubleshoot issues with product, performance, and infrastructure for the cloud environments.
• Design and implement information security policies, procedures, and auditing according to compliance needs.
• Design and automate the building and deployment of products into the architecture.
• Design and automate the changes to infrastructure, treating infrastructure-as-code.
• Create “self-service” tools for developers, QA, and customer support teams.
• Document changes and train team members on infrastructure, tools, and automation.

This role is for a Global company, that operates in the English language. The positions a 100% remote in AUSTRALIA. A High-level or fluency in English is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $140,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
